Con la intención de explorar y generar posibles alianzas que amplíen oportunidades para el sector del cine y el audiovisual, INCAU ha tomado contacto, entre otras instituciones de prestigio internacional, con el British Film Institute (BFI) del Reino Unido.

En este marco, con el objetivo de crear lazos entre los actores del sector de ambos países, se ha planificado la realización de un encuentro online de productores para la presentación de profesionales, proyectos y del ecosistema en general del sector audiovisual.

Para organizar este encuentro, INCAU convoca a casas productoras interesadas a participar de forma remota el 17 de noviembre a las 10 horas.

Inscripciones

Para inscribirse deberá llenarse este formulario en inglés, adjuntar foto del participante y logo de la casa productora y enviar al correo electrónico internacionalesicau@mec.gub.uy

La inscripción al evento significa la confirmación de disponibilidad para participar el 17/11 de 10 a 12 horas en el encuentro virtual.

Selección

Para la selección se valorará:

- Antecedentes en los últimos 5 años en la producción/coproducción de obras de ficción, documentales o animación, también incluyendo series de TV. 

- Contar con proyectos en desarrollo dentro de las categorías anteriormente mencionadas. 

- Contar con conocimiento del idioma inglés a nivel de conversación.

Have you ever thought of collaborating with the UK? 

 
The UK is a home to outstanding filmmaking talent in front and behind the camera and working with the UK opens access to international markets. The infrastructure is one of the strongest in the world with extensive studio space and many state of the art facilities (Pinewood Studios, Framestore, Moving Picture Company, etc). It has a varied range of accessible locations, which have featured in some of the most intnerationally acclaimed film and television productions.

The UK is increasingly focused on international collaboration with countries around the world. There are several sources of public funding in the UK that can be unlocked for international collaborations which are able to qualify as British by passing the UK Cultural Test.  This includes a range of attractive tax incentives offering payable cash rebates of up to 25% on qualifying UK expenditure and other public funds, including the recently announced UK Global Screen Fund which has a specific remit to support co-productions (official and unofficial when there is no bilateral treaty).

UK’s producers have a lot of experience in international collaboration and are always seeking to discover original stories from anywhere in the world.  Recent examples of such collaborations include I am Not a Witch, Cold War, Triangle of Sadness, or the forthcoming UK GSF-funded The Settlers, Dir: Felipe Gálvez, an unofficial Chile/Argentina/France/ Denmark/UK co-production, supported by IBERMEDIA.

The UK is signatory to the Council of Europe co-production convention which enables it to co-produce with over 40 other European countries.  It also has 12 bilateral co-production treaties with Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, India, Israel, Jamaica, Morocco, New Zealand, Occupied Palestinian Territories and South Africa.
